I'm not afraid to die!
Death is upon me
But my kid’s insured and my
Wife is screwing this guy
Who thinks he's brighter
than the 4th of July
I came from Duluth
In Minnesota
I've got these rabies if you need proof
I'm goin down
to Mexico
To buy cheap cowboy boots
If you think I'm scared
Of things unseen
Of the man behind the screen
Don't worry baby I don't worry
I peaked at seventeen
If you think I'm scared
Of things unseen
Of the man behind the screen
Don't worry baby I don't worry
I peaked at seventeen
Don't worry baby I don't worry
I peaked at seventeen

Hey Dom
02:50
|
|||
I see you running around
Got nothing left to lose
But there’s a ghost in this town that’s haunting you
Hey dom!
What have they got on you?
You didn’t fall from grace
You hid your head in the sand
Gave up your shot in the race
That’s over now
Why don’t you take my hand
I know it was hard
When you lost your kid
And you can’t take back what you did
Hey dom!
Here’s what what I’m offerin'
You’re just as dumb as me
And we’re as thick as thieves when we can stand
Hey dom!
Why don’t you take my hand

Can't Trust Myself
02:44
|
|||
I’ve been prone to rust
never sleep
Don’t know who to trust
But I know it ain’t me
I don’t lie too much
I’ve been to confession
But I’ve been tryin to find a reason to trust
myself again
When I was young
I took the bait
I drank a sippy cup of lies
Right out the gate
And I know you feel it too
You can’t stand up straight
And no kind of redemption can erase all that hate
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all
I can’t trust myself, can’t trust myself at all

Forget home
It’s far too late, we’re on our own
You say you’re scared
But there’s nothing left for us back there
Just try to sleep
I’ll drive through the night, we’re in too deep
Dream of mountains and streams
Forget the ones who told you no
Forget the ones who told you so
Forget the ones who told you no
Forget the drugs that ran the show
Forget the liars and the cheats
Forget that house that makes you weep
Forget the heroes and villains and creeps
Your hometown bleeds
Every time you say it’s name
But we’re here for keeps
And with no one else to blame
You say you miss the days
When we lifted leaves from graves
Well the tank’s full and the night's here to stay
Forget the ones who told you no
Forget the ones who told you so
Forget the ones who told you no
Forget the drugs that ran the show
Forget the liars and the cheats
Forget that house that makes you weep
Forget the heroes and villains and creeps

Don't Abandon the Night
04:42
|

Jamie’s in with the weather man
When I met her in the fall
Somehow spring began
Things move fast
Somehow you lose your faith
And all those big ideas
Seem like a big mistake
And now when you close your eyes
She's out of sight
You start telling lies
She never treats you right
But if you must go
Remember, don't abandon the night
When you were young
You met the infinite night
And every day dragged on
Like some unbearable fight
And she was like the night
She could just glow in the dark
And when you were hurt
She took you in her heart
But when she stole the fire
From your lovers pit
You wrote off the night
There was no magic in it
But if you must go
Remember don't
Abandon the night
